Good Friday – Shoe Challenge #33

First, I apologize that my eyes are closed in this picture, I think I was laughing at Fred. 🙂

This is the outfit I wore on Good Friday.   We went to church and then to dinner at Island’s with friends.  It was a nice night.

The dress is by White House Black Market.  The shoes are Prada.  The tights are Spanx.  The cardigan is from Target.

I have had these for a long time.  I like that they are not just plain black pumps. (Which also have their place, don’t get me wrong.)  My favorite thing about wearing these shoes on Friday, was that Older Brother, who is 13, said he liked these shoes.  Generally, he is not a “shoe guy” and doesn’t comment much on my footwear.  It was sweet that he noticed, and said something.  What a good boy!

Here is another look at the dress, not covered by the cardigan.

I wish this picture was better, but the sun was coming in the window and causing me troubles. 🙂  It is very flattering because of the placement of the white piping.

Shoe Challenge #30 (Woo Hoo!)

I can’t believe I am saving my 30th pair of shoes in Shoeperwoman’s Shoe Challenge!

The event:  An outing to the mall with The Husband.  We had some free time the other night and the two of us decided to stroll around the mall for a while.  I like that I am standing in front of the Tory Burch store. 🙂

The shoes:  Donald Pliner I don’t know the what and when of these shoes, but I like them so much I own them in two other colors.  I do know they arrived in my home from a Nordstrom sale at some point.  They are not super dressy, which is nice, and they are really comfortable.  I do mean that!  I walked all over the mall on this outing and my feet felt pretty good at the end.  In my experience, Donald Pliner shoes are often very comfortable.

The dress:  Donna Morgan  This is one of my dresses that I always feel good in when I wear it.  The Donna Morgan website has a bunch of cute dresses right now.

The anklet:  I’m guessing that it is probably by Nadri.  They make all of my favorite ankle jewelry.

Shoe Challenge #29

One more pair saved! Thanks to ShoeperWoman and her Shoe Challenge.

The shoes are by Vince Camuto.  I love how they look, and I wear them often, but I think they are really a 1/2 size too small.  Bummer.  I still am going to try to make them work by hoping that they will eventually stretch.  The back side of the heel has a great ruffle detail that is not showing up in these pictures very well.

The jeans are my new denim leggings by Cookie Johnson.  The sweater is from Target.

Fred the cat is not happy to be in the photo. 😉

This was a dinner out with Steve and the kids.

Shoe Challenge #28

Here’s another ShoeperWoman shoe challenge post.

Thursdays are fun days for me.  The Husband always takes “his girls” from his office out to lunch on Thursday, and I almost always try to join them if I can.  This is one of our regular spots for Mexican food.  It was such a beautiful day, we decided to sit out on the patio.  It was really lovely.

These shoes are L.A.M.B. by Gwen Steffani.  Love them!

Shoe Challenge #26

This shoe is the Steve Madden “Stacie.”   This is my Spring trend “nude shoe.” 🙂  I really am excited about this fashion trend.  They go with everything and they really do make me feel like my legs are super long.  I chose the “Stacie” because it has the cute square toe like a ballet shoe.  I think it is a whimsical and very feminine design.  The hidden platform makes it possible to wear for long periods at a time.

The dress was picked out by the husband.  Isn’t he sweet!  It’s by Tahari form Nordstrom.

By the way, you may notice that it is still not that warm here in San Diego… by the lack of any color on my legs! 🙂  Man, I am ready for some real sunshine!  I dared to wear this without tights because of the nude shoes, but I might have to return to my friends, the black tights for a few more weeks.

I wore this to errands and an evening meeting.

Shoe Challenge #25

This was the day of birthdays and we had two big parties to attend.  One was a 60th and the other was a 40th, so we were dressed up for both events.  I decided that this was a good day to bring out a pair of my all time favorite shoes.

The shoes are by Christian Louboutin.  I got them a while back on a trip to Las Vegas.  The best boutique is there in the Venetian shops.  These shoes are so easy to wear, they match everything and are really comfortable.

My jeans are also a favorite.  They are by Cookie Johnson.  She makes really wonderful denim!
