New Nails and Some Older Nail Designs -FBFF August 12
These are some nail designs I have worn recently, as I participate in the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday group, hosted this week by the blog Thrifty and Shameless.
I am so excited about this first look, but it really would not photograph well for me at all. I will show you what I did get, despite my fight with the camera.
The thing is… these nails look like polished chrome. Really! They are so shiny that the camera couldn’t stop reflecting their glimmer. And, I must say this again, they look so much better In Real Life! 😉
They are nail “stickers.” I found them at Sephora. Their official name is Chic Prints For Nails. They are not too difficult to apply, but it does take a bit of practice.
These were in a recent post, but I thought they deserved a second look. 🙂 I like the silver crackle very much.
Finally, here are two other colors I have been wearing often lately.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else is doing.
Today’s Nails – Neon Rainbow and Silver Crackle
I am LOVING these nails!
This is the top silver layer, and it is Sephora by OPI. I love how metallic it is. It only takes one coat to make it “shatter,” so it was super easy to use. While in the Sephora store, I was thrilled by how many colors they had available. It was like a candy store in the polish isle.
These are the neon colors I used underneath the silver. They are called Milani, and I found them at Target. The price was good, and the colors were just what I was looking for. One for each nail, because I have a short attention span, and I want to change colors all the time. This is great for me… no decision necessary. 🙂
Here is Bing helping with my manicure and the photo shoot. He is such a good helper!
Today’s Nails
Today I am wearing OPI “Blue Shatter” over OPI “Black Satin.”
I guess I am a bit late arriving at the Shatter Nail Party… but, better late than never. I have to admit that it took me a while to decide if I even wanted to attend this “get together.” Now that I am wearing it, I think I like it.
Have you worn the Shatter/Crackle nails? If so, what color combinations do you like?
China Glaze – “First Mate”
This is a new nail color I wore the other day, and even though I know that I liked it, I was surprised that I ended up getting so many compliments. The color is called “First Mate” and it is by China Glaze. You can find the collection here.
The photo doesn’t do it justice. In real life, it is much more of a navy blue color. It has been a few weeks since I took this picture, so I think it might be time to switch back to blue nails once again!
If anyone is still out there after my long absence, let me know how you feel about blue nails…
Nail Polish Today
Today I am in the mood for warmer weather and I decided to express that in my polish color.
This lovely coral-pink color is by China Glaze, and is called “Pool Party,” from their Poolside collection. I love it! The color is bright, but I have only been getting compliments so far… although I believe my friends to be a polite group, who might just keep their negative thoughts to themselves. For which, I guess I say, thank you. 😉
